Texture Art
Texture art is original art created with a mixture of differant paints, stains and texturing compounds. Some will include photographs, sticks, dried flowers, rusted metal or who knows where my crazy imagination may go. Be sure to check back often to see what's new. These are true originals because there is no way to duplicate them. Once one is sold it's gone.
AWalk In The Park
This piece started with a favorite photo of my children taking a hike through Santa Rosa Plateau. I mounted and textured the photo. With multiple layers of texturing compound and a combination of different paints and stains to expand the image onto the outer layers and after hours of experimenting with differant techniques, the masterpiece was completed.
Set In Stone
This project started with a hike through the Arizona desert in the middle of nowhere. I found this stick and brought it home, not knowing it was going to be the inspiration for another 10 hour project.
Again, using a combination of different texturing compounds, lots of experimenting with different ideas, and a few items from the good earth, this one of a kind project was completed.
